About Us Page

Now, let me introduce myself:

In my forty years of practice, I have helped clients lift their depression, slow down their racing thoughts, find time to breathe, work through their trauma, give their tiring obsessive thoughts some pauses, and restore their good night’s sleep. I am glad to see my clients move away from their chronic or recurrent problems:
depression, anxiety, obsession, and various addictions including relationship addiction. I help them deal with their trauma by discovering how they are feeding
their problem today.  My motto is to Understand the past and Get hold of the present. I utilize hypnosis, EMDR, and trauma-focused therapy, whatever fits their cases.

I am happy to work with patients who has been practicing Eastern psychological techniques: breathing, grounding, centering, deep muscle relaxation, mindfulness, and meditation. I am also most effective with patients curious about or interested in Eastern philosophy. When the therapist and client walk the same healing pathway, healing follows naturally.
If you are sure, you have found the one, go to booking page and set up an appointment. .

If you want to know more of this healing path, give me a call I  will arrange a 15 minutes free consultation session with you. 612-203-1207

My background

Psychologist Yiu Lee earned his Master degree of Art from University of Minnesota, Mankato. He has been licensed by the board of psychology in Minnesota since 1982. Through forty years of practice, he became proficient in many therapeutic techniques, yet he did not lose his rich Chinese heritage: eastern philosophy, the Eastern perspective of life, holistic, dualistic style
of thinking. He understands the natural force of equilibrium which is hard wired in our brain. He works with this nature force to restore our mental health. He likes the challenge of resolving chronic stubborn mental health problems.

Mr. Lee grew up in Hong Kong and moved to Minnesota in his twenties. He enjoys the Midwest American culture so much that
he raised his family here. Mr. Lee is married and has children. When his children were young, he visited Boundary Water every year.  He refreshes himself, centers, and grounds, himself with trips to Spilt Rock lighthouse and walks across the Mississippi River at its source at Itasca State Park. Those are his favorite retreats. In his leisure, he enjoys sailing, canoeing, fishing, hiking in state and national
parks, practicing Tai Chi, taking mindful walks, and meditating. Mountains, rocks, waters, forest, and the smell of pine needles enchanted him.
